M v F

The world is calm and peaceful apparently, but how many can actually feel the tension building up in everyone’s lives? Very few, because, each one is engrossed in their own problems, solutions, happiness, comfort etc. The wars that are waged and those worth waging are not just on the borders of the country or in the skies and waters, but within the boundaries of our own homes. It shouldn’t be shocking to come across this revelation to most people, and i am quite sure of it. Didn’t get me yet huh? Then, read on…

Few of my (she)friends at WP are a rage at writing topics that concern women and their respect, modesty, dignity and other aspects which basically have the message that women are not treated properly. It appears true from a bird’s eye point of view, but can we blame only the men for this? Another friend RJ wanted to be born as a girl if he had the chance to choose his birth again. I whole-heartedly appreciate such an idea because it appears naive and stupid to most of us. This is just an example to show that men-in-general are not responsible for what women are facing now.

The rift between boys and girls was common in childhood and i had this arguement, rather a debate, in the high school. I was waiting for my turn stupidly and when i realised that i wont be given one, i barged into the argument. If men and women were supposed to be equal, why were they not made equal? Don’t you think the creation of men and women the way they are, was a secret of nature? Secondly, both were given the same brains with some mild differences. So, if they really craved for status quo all the time, why didn’t they retort in the beginning of the civilization? Did they subdue themselves just before the muscular power of men and chose to play political and love games with them? I know that i am not talking about women in general, but about those who had led to a change in the course of history and hence, resulting in the current scenario.

I strongly attribute the inequality observed to the history, because, that is where everything comes from. And for the mistakes committed by men and women in the past, the current day “empowered women” are fighting for their rights. It is bad to note that those who fight for the rights of women living in slums etc., come from an acre wide bungalow or in a car fit for a goddess. Ask them to stay in the hut for an hour and they’ll know why women still choose to be there. It is not just equality that they crave for, but a morsel of food a day, and sometimes, for a couple of days.

And lastly, coming to the most popular type of people – students, teens, tweens (or whatever!) The inequality is present here too. But in the opposite fashion. I am amazed at the stock of weapons they carry to subdue men. A smile can speak a thousand words and a tear can possibly, never stop speaking πŸ˜€ . Its available against all kinds of men and all age groups. But, they are not carried by all. If at all the technical know-how spreads among all women, we men will have to run to Mars and keep gaping at our once beautiful home – the Earth!

PS : I sincerely feel that men will have to start fighting for their rights someday. Oh God! Please let me hide beneath your cushion if it happens! 😦

  1. situations u see, situations made woman subdue to the man’s so called “muscular power” .. at times when she was physically weak.. she required the man’s help.. she bowed but was permanently pushed to the ground.. n it has taken all these years to somewhat get her “33%” n still struggling hard to make it 50-50..

i do agree wit ur thought about rich women tryin to FIGHT for weaker women’s rights [:)] but not completely coz there are exceptions..

and need not tell about gals(teens, tweens) carrying weapons of smile, tear(or whatever) to subdue guys.. πŸ˜‰
i know how much su melts at the sight of his crushes..[;)]

  2. @Nami : Did you think that Men were were heartless creations to subdue women at the very instant of their bowing down…? absolutely not… it takes many attempts to tempt anyone to exercise their power… And very few richie riches fight truly for anything… so u can have a fair idea abt the efforts
My crushes…! I know how much torture u’ve had, having me as your friend… πŸ˜‰

  3. LOL….

You fighting for the rights of men or women?? πŸ˜›

Dude, you really need to understand something here. When you said History made the women what they are now, I agree. However, I don’t agree with what you said about men not having anything to do with it. Men have EVERYTHING to do with it.

You want to own a pet but not say you don’t have anything to do with its capture? Nothing in this world deserves to be bound. Freedom is not only for men(by that I mean the human race). It is for every living thing on this earth. God bless that day when the first micro-organisms made their way into earth through Geysers. But coming back to the point, women are not pets to keep under your leash. And you want to say you don’t have anything to do with their current state? You can convince yourself that you don’t have a hand in it, but not me.

Once again, I agree with your point that we were not created to be equal. At least not completely. To that I have only one thing to say. We are not in the same state as we were in when we were created. Evolution has provided us primates with the gift of speech and logical thinking. Yes, I did say primates. Try searching for the classification of human beings. We are classified under primates. If you want to remain the primate you were created as, go ahead. Mistreat every living thing in the world(this goes for non-vegetarians too).

This has got to end and it will end only when people stop thinking like Su. No hard feelings bro. I got very indulged in the debate. It is one of my favorite topics. Equality and freedom to all!!

  6. @Anniyan : Men had everything to do with it and continue to do so. It is an inertial state which was triggered when we were at the beginning of civilization and not beginning of mankind (when we were untransformed primates, actually.) this is something like firing a bullet and trying to stop it. the bullets being men and the triggers being women. And pets dont fit into this scene because, the brain factor comes into picture. now to stop it, care should be taken such that the bullets are stopped without damaging themselves and anything else either.

  7. Is this a debate or a discussion? Because it certainly doesn’t seem to a debate to me. One minute you are talking on one side; the next, you are on the other side. Now I am confused.

But I agree with what you said (Even though that is what I said in my previous reply myself). It all rests in the hands of men who can think for themselves and not accept the thoughts of others. Out with the OLD! In with the NEW!! Make way for the new world!!!
